First Impressions: The Beast of Bath

First Impressions

First Impressions: Great Adaptation to a classic!

The story was unique and interesting. The narrator was good, but I did need to slow the track down a few clicks.

I loved the characters both main and secondary, and hated the villain.

The sex was hot but had heart!

I’d give it a 5 of 5 stars

This is the last chapter and the knots are still present.

Usual the hero wins the last battle, but there has been exception to this in the history of romances.

All we can do is cross our fingers and hope for the best.

Hopefully the threats will be permanently dealt with and The Beast and his Beauty can live again in society. I don’t think either of them misses it or wants it really, but not being attacked if and when you leave your house is a good thing.

Now we get to the good stuff!

This union is reminding me of Cupid and Psyche, but then turns into the Phantom of the Opera. Hopefully there will be a happy ending for them both, and less woe.

Brava to Lady Thessaly for not being a shallow twat waffle! Way to stand by your man and put those stupid jerks in the proper perspective.

No electricity is such an odd idea. You think to yourself, “just turn the light on”, and then remember that it didn’t exist!

That makes me ponder the thought: What would someone of this time consider “Mood Lighting”?

Getting down and dirty back in the day was way more time consuming than it is portrayed in books and movies. To the author’s credit, she does have some realistic aspects added. In all honesty, a true telling of it would take at least a chapter to just get naked.

My stomach is in fits now for the secondary characters, for they are often sacrificial lambs in the story. From a writer’s side of the coin, I realize there has to be conflict and pain. As a reader, however, I don’t want to see anyone I like meet an untimely end.

What secondary character(s) have you lost in your readings of any story from any genre that has hurt the most?

Wow! What an evil man!

Wasn’t expecting such a horrible and violent villain.

Gaston is a playground bully in comparison to this guy. Who knows what this vile man is going to come up with to punish Victor and Thessaly. What wrong was done to him to constitute such hatred?

I’m glad to see that there are a few people that care unconditionally for the Beast! He has a lot of redeeming qualities of character, even if he doesn’t want to see them.

It makes my heart hurt for Victor!
