Grady was so brave! No one’s going think he is so beastly now, despite going a little beastly at the party. People might still call him a grumpy home body, but no more the Amesport Beast!

Finally we get some sexy time! It seems like forever!

The background info on Grady was enlightening, and explained some things, but the stuff about his mom made me feel sad and a little mad!

I just want to make a public announcement here:

Regardless of your emotional distraught, ladies please don’t run for the rickety dock, or the frozen pond, or the woods, or the street in your grief madness! Yes is can sometimes feel extreme and overwhelming but let’s not make it worse by doing something that is more than likely going to end in really painful tears, and most likely scars!

Is anyone else struggling with the “whisper” issue? The narrator’s whispers gets too low and it is hard to hear. Not sure if it’s her, the recording, or the production process but it is a pain. I either have to listen to the whole thing at an uncomfortable level of loudness, miss what is being said, or have my tablet awkwardly in hand at all times so that I can constantly raise and lower the volume. All of which cut into my enjoyment, which is sad because she is actually a good narrator aside from the whisper issue.

I wish someone would pay for my contacts! Seriously, I just went up to the XR Torics which are even more expensive than the regular torics l am currently wearing. If my eyes get much worse I won’t be able to wear them. 🙁

Grady is totally adorable. He wants to take care of Emily so bad, and she just won’t let him. Well she tries not to, but he often wins. There is a saying about gifts and horses and mouths isn’t there?

So far we have older brother Evan, younger brother Jared, and a sister. There are other brothers or brother but it hasn’t been made clear yet.

Grady braves his fears and goes to the party. Would you brave you biggest fear to make the potential love of your life happy?

@ Chapter 01

Same time of year, just many more later, and Grady is now 31 and known as the Amesport Beast. We also find out that all of the Sinclair children have come to live on the Amesport Peninsula. So at least they are all sticking together as far as where they built their houses. It doesn’t appear that any of them, except Grady spend any time at home.

We are introduced to the heroine, Emily Ashworth and her BFF Miranda “Randi” Tyler. Emily is the director of the YCOA and her ex has made off with all the center’s funds, and right before Christmas! She has no choice but to seek a large donation from the only person in residence with that kind of cash. So cue the Beauty and the Beast soundtrack cause that’s what this story is shaping up to be.

On the way to The Beast’s Lair, she notes the location is one of her favorites and proceeds to eat shit due to the snowy conditions. I totally feel for the girl! I am so accident prone myself.

A mix up turns into an offer she can’t refuse, because, hey, it’s for the children! And, ok, Grady is hot and lights Emily’s fire, so it’s a win, win situation!

What would you do if you were in Emily’s position?

@ Prologue

This is Grady Sinclair’s story. We start in the past, 13 years ago right before Christmas when Grady was only 18. We get a glimpse at a day in the life of a Sinclair, and it isn’t pretty. The patriarch of the family, Martin Sinclair, is truly a terror. As to whether or not his father is the cause of Grady’s social anxiety is unclear, but the man definitely doesn’t make it better.

I already feel for Grady and just want to ball him up in a blanket and stroke his hair like a little kitten. Then make him some chocolate chip cookies!

The other Sinclair siblings are present but the only one mentioned by name is Evan.

The events of this Christmas changes the family forever, but not because of the loss but because of the gain. I don’t think anyone actually enjoyed themselves this time of year, not even Martin.

Are there any holiday’s or holiday events you particularly dread? I find the pull of everyone at the holiday time to travel to their location is quite daunting. If teleports existed and they were free, I could just pop over to everyone’s house, but they don’t and so that’s why we just stay home.

First Impression: Jaxson

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

First Impression:
It’s a new take in shifter mating. A good start to a triology about 3 brothers. Agent Smith is one sick bastard that I want to stab in the face, but that is the sign of a good author. Looking forward to reading the rest of the family. This series takes place in my home town which is always awesome! Witches & Weres, what a great combo!
