My Reviews
Love the slow burn!

This story takes it time and allows for the couple to get comfortable as they get to know one another. That being said, this still takes place over only a week, but they aren’t just jumping into bed with each other immediately without so much as a hello!

Celine Patterson is camerawoman early in her career trying fill her resume. Jobs are not plentiful for a newbie so she takes a low paying, hardworking gig as the one person crew for Edward Robson. He is an older mid-list actor making a documentary on a smaller than asked for budget. Knowing how much of a raw deal Celine is getting, Edward tries to do what he can to make up for it. As the attraction grows between the two, they both worry over if it’s all in their head or is the other person feeling the same way.

Both characters come off as genuine people who put their own happiness over the opinions of others. And these two actually do something quite foreign in most stories and communicate! It’s amazing what complications can be avoided if you just have a conversation first!

I found this couple’s interactions quite endearing. I was rooting for them the whole way. Regardless of the age difference, they are still two adults who want to find love and companionship.

The Narrator of this audiobook is Xanthia Bloom. She does Celine and Edward justice. There is good distinction between the two and the story narration. That is most if not all of the parts of the story.

Overall I give this 5 of 5 stars!

My Reviews

Hot doctors, Yes Please!

Had me at hot doctors, lost me in the middle, but then went out with a bang!

This story is about a pair of hot medical professionals who are over-worked and can’t get the alone time they so badly desire. Blake Colville is a doctor, no specialty specified, while his partner Aaron Miller is a hospital porter. (To be honest, I had never heard of that title so I had to look it up. It’s a job title only in the UK. It’s basically the errand runners for the nurses or physicians that essentially fills the gaps.) Even though the two live together, they are often on opposite schedules cutting into their quality time. Blake plans a hot weekend away for Aaron’s birthday so they can catch up on all they have been missing without interruption. That’s when things get really hot!

These boy are really into the kink. It starts off mild and moves into things I’ve never even heard of before. That’s where they lost me. It takes you out of the story if you have to stop to look up stuff. The stuff I had to look up was way past the common paddles and handcuffs. It was also past my level of interest. I know it’s about mutual pleasure and the act of submitting is part of that pleasure, but I would have had to use my safe word, sorry.

Thankfully that is not what it ended on. The story brought us on back to the love they share for each other and closed out with a romantic interlude to leave you all warm fuzzy! So despite the little part in the middle, it was overall a great story!

The narrator was Peter Revel-Walsh. His voice is pleasant and enjoyable to listen to and as for the story voice, and the non-main character voices, it was easy to distinguish the differences. As for the two main characters it gets a bit confusing. Blake is the dominant one so the more demanding words often come from him, but sometimes you just can’t tell who is talking. It’s not a huge deal because either way it’s still just the two of them and they are H-O-T-!

Overall I give this 4 of 5 stars!

Review: A Different Kind of Cosplay by Lucy Felthouse

Nerdy & Smutty!

A Different Kind of Cosplay is a short read, but by no means skimps on the hot!

Zachary wants to get his girlfriend Reese an extra special 30 year birthday present. She is a big comic book nerd that loves superheroes and cosplay. Zach doesn’t share this hobby so finds himself in a bit of a pickle. He turns to Reese’s DVD collection in hopes of finding the answers. What ensues is some clever trickery, secret shipments, and a not so pointless decoy.

I really enjoyed this story. I am a big nerd myself so one could say I am a little biased, but this is a very hot & steamy read regardless of your preferences for dress up.

The narrator was excellent. There were distinct differences between the narrator and the different characters, both male and female, which made for a nice listening experience.

This is my first read by this author and my first listen by this narrator. I am looking forward to listening to some more from both of these lovely artists.

What a great read! Nerdy & Smutty!

The characters were great, and the story was pretty simple. This is a short read so don’t expect a super plot line. Not much angst, which is great. Just love, sex, and superheroes.

The narrator sounds fairly genderless. (I mean this in a good way) The character voice, both male and female, and the narrator voice flow very nicely.

This is my first read by this author and am looking forward to reading some more.

@ The End

Passing out because of orgasm is quite a feat, but her overall tally is pretty envious. Making someone’s teeth rattle doesn’t sound fun or sexy but that could be a regional thing. Everyone has their own sayings, so it may be common where the author is from or currently lives. Zachary gets super bonus points for his stamina and his thoughtful efforts in making Reese’s 30th birthday unforgettable. A great nerdy and smutty read! What did you think?
